 2017 June Masthead

In the first of our 2017 Sunday Series concerts, we are delighted to welcome back Guest Conductor, PATRICK MILLER, to lead us in a program of Russian Greats. Joining the orchestra for the first time is home-grown Melbourne Bass Baritone, MATTHEW THOMAS as soloist in Prokofiev’s evocative Lieutenant Kijé Suite, and to round off this exciting program, Artistic Director, ROY THEAKER returns on the violin in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade

2017 August Masthead

LILY HIGSON-SPENCE, our 2017 Emerging Artist, features as soloist in this wonderful Sunday afternoon of extraordinary music. Directed by Artistic Director, ROY THEAKER, this program promises to warm even the coldest of winter days, brightening Melbourne’s greyest skies with the astonishing soundscape that is Holst’s Planet Suite

2017 November Masthead

Following his lauded 2015 performance with us, it is our pleasure to again be working with MICHAEL DAHLENBURG as Guest Conductor to direct this beautifully gentle performance to round out our 2017 Sunday Series.
